I’ve decided to make my boy a jumper for winter (and possibly a matching beanie). The very clever Ginchy designed it!
I’m dyeing my own yarn (surprise, surprise), to emulate the ones that Ginchy used. I think mine, so far, are a tad brighter, though.
I’m really looking forward to making this up. And being a ‘bulky’ weight yarn, it’ll be a nice quickish knit 😀 It does, however, mean that I need to partly improvise the pattern, as Ginchy’s pattern is written for a DK weight yarn. I’m hoping that by starting to knit the smaller size will help even out the difference.
What beautiful colours!! You’d have to have a smile on your face the entire time you knitted with this yarn!!
Well done, looking forward to seeing your progress!
Hey sweets, the rav download now includes instructions on up and down-sizing, checking the fit, and knitting at different gauges. A quick swatch and checking the neck size of one of your boy’s existing jumpers will help you determine how many stitches to cast on.
